League 2 playoff final
Fourteen years ago yesterday, Wimbledon FC were given permission to move to Milton Keynes.

I know there are a lot of AFC haters out there, whether because of the Crazy Gang or the way they pushed back up through non-league, but you can't fail to appreciate the story: if they beat the Pilgrims tomorrow, next season they'll finally be playing in the same league as MK Dons.

That's got to be some kind of closure.

Never liked the old Wimbledon, but they play and train not far from my house these days. Amazing story tbf and you've got to admire their hardcore fans for resurrecting the club from nothing. They get quite a few young 'uns these days too, maybe from families priced out of Chelsea. Future looks pretty good for them, would be incredible if they overtook MKD.

Milton Keynes is fast becoming the centre of the universe - the world & his brother's companies are being enticed/coerced to (re)locate there.

As soon as the refurbishment of the Palace of Westminster hits a certain threshold, the UK government will "temporarily" relocate there (for at least 2 generations), spending, in doing so, a not-so-small fortune on a parliamentary building fit for the 21st century.

The Thames Barrier will be breached in that time wrecking, amongst other things, all the work already completed at the PoW, and, in the interests of saving the country money, the move to MK will be made permanent.

MK Dons will acquire the status of THE football team of the new capital. The deals that got us the Olympic Stadium will be used as a blueprint to ensure they, too, get a status-fitting stadium.

As a Plymouth lad, I'm looking forwards to them raining on the AFC parade today.

Both teams appear to have brought bigger support than Hull City.

Yeh, would've left a bad taste to see him running around celebrating.

I was wondering what the keeper would've done if they'd won.
Surely he'd have had the self awareness to get off the pitch and not be seen celebrating?
Wouldn't have looked good.
